"Melanie and uhhh.. Andromeda.." "I'll get 'em." Melanie said as she got up from the table to get the girls' two coffees. As she got back to the table, she placed Andromeda's cup infront of her "Here you go." Today was the last day of finals for both of the girls and Melanie couldn't be happier. This semester was a drag and right now, Melanie needed a break. Being an honor student was tough, with all the extra credits and with Amber getting married, her mind was all over the place. Sitting here in Starbucks with her best friend was just what she needed. "How do you think you did on Hans'? I think I barely passed." she said with a small laugh, "I swear that man hated me." It was actually the other way around, Melanie hated Dr Hans. She always asked obvious questions and just haggled with him during class, it was all good fun though. "Girl, are you excited for Amber's wedding? I can't believe it's this Friday! Everyone we know is getting married or popping out kids, and we're over here excited our finals are over and being typical white girls." pointing out the fact that they were sitting in a Starbucks on a snowy day. Melanie just chuckled and shrugged. It's not like she even wanted any of that, maybe just someone to snuggle up with now and then. Like Rylan, now he was hot. outfit

Andromeda never understood why her parents had to give her such a weird name, she always got funny looks when people tried to say it like it was in some foreign language or something. They sort of had a obsession with the solar system, she guessed it was better then them being hippies and getting some name like flower or something. So she really couldn't complain, most people called her Andy any ways. Happy to be away from school and with a good friend, she couldn't wait for her coffee to be done. It was the one thing that kept her going threw all those long nights of studying for tests. Yes, coffee really was her life saver. That and she didn't know how many energy drinks she would drink down, she spent many nights thinking they may help her stay awake... well they did. But they made her so hyper that she couldn't concentrate and would go find some one to drag along on some sort of escapade around the grounds or through town.
I don't think my parents will be happy, but I think I at least passed she said. Growing up in a wealthy family she had some big shoes to fill and was always under pressure. In fact her parents were livid when Andy decided to go to school for graphic design instead of law school. They eventually got over it, but they still weren't happy about it. I love weddings, but id be more excited if it was mine! she exclaimed. I mean isn't that what every one secretly wishes for at weddings, that it was theirs and that they could be up there in that beautiful white dress. Someday I want a whole house full of kids 7 or 8 will do she said half jokingly. Right now she was enjoying being at school with friends and experiencing life, once school was over she couldn't wait to settle down and have a big family. Sometimes she couldn't help but wonder about what her life would have been like if she hadn't had a abortion when she was 18. Probably she would have been at home right now with her 4 year old daughter or son waiting on the man she loved to come home. That was a whole different life then what she was living now. I wonder if there will be any half way decent guys there she said, weddings were always a great reason to hook up, every one is always in this great mood.

Melanie just smirked when her best friend said her parents wouldn't be happy. "Girl your parents aren't even happy with an A+ most of the time." Andromeda's parents were those parents, she needed to have perfect everything. Not Melanie's parents. As long ash she was passing, that's all they cared about. They weren't happy she decided to be a photography major, but it was her life and she had a right to make whatever decision she wanted to. "Come on, Asher has got to have some good looking friends. Maybe you'll find your Mr Right there. " Melanie said with a smile and a little nudge to Andromeda,s arm, ""I'm just glad Rylan said he'd go with me. I wouldn't be able to show my face around him if he said no." That would've been too embarrassing. Melanie had a huge crush on that kid, him saying no to her wouldve been the worst. "That kid has got it all, the looks, the hair, the accent, ugh just everything...." Melanie realized she was getting too into and and just laughed, "sorry." She took another sip of her coffee but quickly put the cup down when she burnt her lip. "I wish they wouldn't make them this scalding. I'd like to drink my coffee when I get it back to my table. Not have to wait a half hour."
