[Bobbie/Derek/Thayer] Family Dinner

Blake got her own plate, sitting down beside Thayer as she looked at everyone else. At least the guys seemed to be hearty eaters. She smiled, watching Dani who was looking at the green beans skeptically. “ I promise they’re good,” she said, giving her a wink. Blake pushed some of her hair behind her ear, taking a long sip of tea as she listened to the conversation between Derek and Thayer. “ Yeah, I can’t even tell you how excited Rosie is,” Blake said with a quiet chuckle as she spoke to Derek. She watched Derek and Bobbie for a moment, smiling to herself at the realization that she didn’t have to worry about Derek as much as she used to. He had found something, or someone, that made him happy. Blake turned to look at Thayer, twirling her fork slightly as she waited to catch his eye. “ I guess everything is done now with my stuff. I mean we’re only working on tour stuff now so you can finally go work on someone else’s music,” she said , wondering for a moment if that meant he would work on his own. “ Um.. Patrick had said something about them working on a new album if you wanted to hop in on that one,” she said, remembering that Dani was probably listening before she turned to look at her. “ One Direction is working on an album, Dani,”. When Blake looked back at Thayer, she couldn't help but laugh. " You've got..." she said, gesturing to his lip before she rolled her eyes and brought her thumb up to his lip to wipe away the small amount of gravy on the edge of his lip.

“ Why do you think I upped my cardio,” Bobbie said quietly as he questioned whether or not Blake fed her like this every day. “ But she’ll be on tour soon, so” she said, not wanting to also point out that he was leaving soon, too. Bobbie made a point to take a bite of green beans when Dani was looking. She knew that Derek was excited for Dylan to come home, no one more so than Dani. “Is she still calling girls ‘tricks’?” she asked with a smile when Blake mentioned Rosie. They really were the strangest couple. But she looked over her shoulder, catching Derek’s eye before she nudged him in the shoulder playfully, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “ You’re gonna eat too much and forget to save room for dessert,” she said, trying not to smile. No. Not cobbler. She looked over when Blake mentioned One Direction was recording an album. “ Oh, I don’t think Thayer’s done working on you,” Bobbie said before taking a bite of her chicken fried steak.
